FeedBack

 Hey everyone!

I’m working on a small project that blends multiple genres, and I’d love to get your feedback. The core idea is a tower defense game where you can leave the tower and take control of a first-person character to fight, repair, and interact with the battlefield directly.

What’s in the game so far:

  • One main auto-attacking tower that defends against waves
  • playable character who can leave the tower to shoot enemies or repair structures manually
  • basic trap system to damage or slow enemies
  • Enemies focus the tower, but you can pull aggro and distract them
  • Separate upgrade paths for the tower and player

Planned Features:

The current system spawns everything for the player (walls, barracks, archer towers, etc.), but I'm planning a major shift toward player-driven building and decision-making:

  • Castle Building System – At the start, you’ll only have the main tower. Each wave gives you resources, and between waves, you’ll build your own castle from scratch:
    • Build and place wallsarcher towersbarracks, and resource structures
    • Choose between defensive or offensive builds
    • Expand intelligently based on wave direction and threats
  •  Expanded trap and tower types – Spike traps, elemental towers, long-range siege defenses
  •  Strategic repair and upgrade system – Spend collected resources between waves to fix or enhance your base
  •  Wave variation and randomization – So each playthrough feels unique
  •  Progressive challenge – Your base starts small, but wave by wave, you grow into a true fortress

What I'm looking for feedback on:

  • Does the concept sound fun/engaging to you?
  • Do you like the idea of starting with nothing and building your castle wave by wave?
  • Would switching between tower and FPS feel natural or confusing?
  • Would a mix of tower defense, FPS mechanics feel fun or too chaotic?
  • Any ideas to improve the mechanics or make it more unique?

I'd really appreciate any feedback – good or bad! I’m still in early development, so your thoughts can really shape the direction of the game.

Thanks in advance!

(I can also share a gameplay video or a build if you’re interested!)
